Introduction

Wallet connection is essential because that is where the incentives will be sent to. However, different Social Mining Hubs are built on various blockchain networks that connect a wallet, which may vary from hub to hub.

On DAOVERSE and Polygon Hub, users can directly connect their wallet with MetaMask. Users must manually input their wallet addresses on other Social Mining hubs, including Avalanche Hub, Kava Hub, and WAX Hub.

How to connect the wallet on DAOVERSE, Polygon Hub, and Telos Hub on a desktop computer?

Before connecting your wallet

If you use a desktop computer, you must install a web browser that supports MetaMask, such as Google Chrome and Brave.

If you have yet to use a Google Chrome web browser, we recommend you use it. Please visit Google Chrome's official website to install one. Google Chrome supports various operating systems, including Windows, macOS, and Linux.

Step 1: Install MetaMask to your browser extension

If you have yet to use a MetaMask wallet, we recommend you install it from MetaMask's official website.
Once you are at MetaMask's official website, click "Download," you will be directed to MetaMask's page on the Chrome Web Store.

Once you are at MetaMask's page on the Chrome Web Store, click "Add to Chrome," and a pop-up window will show.

Click "Add extension" in the pop-up window, and the browser will download and install MetaMask.

Afterward, you will be directed to the wallet creation page, where you must complete the wallet creation before having a MetaMask wallet.
Select "I agree to MetaMask's Terms of use" on the wallet creation page, then click "Create a new wallet."

On the next page, you can click "I agree," which allows MetaMask to collect data from you for improving the software. You can click "No thanks" if you do not want this.
Now, you are on the password creation page. Please input a password you prefer into the box, ensuring the password has at least 8 characters. Please ensure the password is strong, which will be indicated on the page. Once done, repeat your password in the field below, and select "I understand that MetaMask cannot recover this password for me. Learn more" before clicking "Create a new wallet."

The next page will help you secure your wallet, and we recommend you watch the video about Secret Recovery Phrase, which is vital for understanding MetaMask wallet security. After, you should click the "Secure my wallet (recommended)" button to secure your wallet.

The next page will show you the 12-word Secret Recovery Phrase. You can click "Reveal Secret Recovery Phrase" to see 12 words.
Please write the 12-word Secret Recovery Phrase in the correct order on paper and store it safely offline.

Please do not share the 12-word Secret Recovery Phrase with anyone. Someone who obtains your 12-word Secret Recovery Phrase can control your wallet entirely, including stealing all your crypto assets.

You must confirm your Secret Recovery Phrase by filling in the missing words on the next page. Once done, click "Confirm."

Now you have successfully installed the MetaMask wallet on your web browser.
After installation, please pin your MetaMask to your Chrome extension for easy access. Click the extension button on top of the Chrome browser and pin your MetaMask.

Now you can click the MetaMask icon on your Chrome browser and your MetaMask wallet will drop down. You can click the wallet address button to copy your wallet address.

Step 2 (DAOVERSE): Add BNB Smart Chain Mainnet to your MetaMask network

DAOVERSE distributes BUSD as incentives to users via the BNB Smart Chain Mainnet.

However, after MetaMask installation, it has Ethereum Mainnet as the default network. Before connecting your wallet to DAOVERSE, you must add and switch to BNB Smart Chain Mainnet to your MetaMask network.

Click the MetaMask icon on your browser extension to access your MetaMask wallet. Then click the Network Switcher on the top-left corner of your MetaMask wallet.

In the pop-up window, click "Add network."

Now, you are directed to a web page to add networks supported by MetaMask wallet, including BNB Smart Chain. Find BNB Smart Chain on the page and click "Add."

Click "Approve" in the pop-up window, and a pop-up will be shown to inform you that you have successfully added BNB Smart Chain to your MetaMask wallet's network.

Click "Switch to BNB Smart Chain (previously Binance Smart Chain Mainnet)," and the pop-up window will inform you that you have successfully switched to BNB Smart Chain on your MetaMask wallet.

Step 2 (Polygon Hub): Add Polygon Mainnet to your MetaMask network

Polygon Hub distributes MATIC as incentives to users via the Polygon Mainnet.

Before connecting your wallet to Polygon Hub, you must add and switch to Polygon Mainnet to your MetaMask network.

Click the MetaMask icon on your browser extension to access your MetaMask wallet. Then click the Network Switcher on the top-left corner of your MetaMask wallet.

In the pop-up window, click "Add network."
Now, you are directed to a web page to add networks supported by MetaMask wallet, including Polygon Mainnet. Find Polygon Mainnet on the page and click "Add."

Click "Approve" in the pop-up window, and a pop-up will be shown to inform you that you have successfully added Polygon Mainnet to your MetaMask wallet's network.
Click "Switch to Polygon Mainnet," and the pop-up window will inform you that you have successfully switched to Polygon Mainnet on your MetaMask wallet.
